Marakon’s history
Marakon’s history goes back 40 years. In 1981, Kari Veijalainen established a family business, which had Rammer’s hydraulic hammers in its product range from the outset. Over the course of its 40-year history, Marakon has grown from a small family business to a company that employs more than 40 people and operates internationally.
More than 40 years of experience – with expertise and know-how
Beginning in its infancy, Marakon focused on the sale of hydraulic hammers for the Finnish market. The business owner had to come up with new and innovative ways to market the company’s products, and thanks to his efforts, the sales soon grew on a yearly basis.
After a generational change, Tomi Veijalainen took over as the company’s managing director in 2001 and the company began to expand into foreign markets. In 2020, Kaj Koskela was appointed as the Marakon Group’s managing director. Today, Veijalainen acts as the chair of the company’s board of directors.
Over the years, Marakon has been recognised for its expertise, friendly customer service, professional conduct and ability to deliver spare parts and maintenance services.
